Transmission service G37
Just got my 2013 G37 with 55,000 miles on it.
When to a auto repair and they told me that to do a transmission service going to cost me $350 for gasket filter and they have to get special fluid from Infiniti. Am I gettin rip?

these cars dont hav trans filters, its just a metal screen pickup. the dealer usually charges 250 for drain and refill without dropping the pan. call around if you are not a diy type person.

If you check your owner's manual, you'll see that Infiniti says the trans is " sealed" and the fluid will last the lifetime of the car.
If you don't agree, then do the fluid change. It's reported that it will take three drain and fill cycles to flush the trans, and that doesn't address the fluid in the torque converter.

Never try to fix anything that isn't broke
If you insist I would not trust any shop other than a dealer.
If you do decide to do it yourself don't forget the coffee filter

I used the BG transmission flush machine at work. Connected it to the tranny cooler lines. Flushed 12 quarts using BG transmission fluid.
Car had 70k miles at the time and the fluid was really deep dark red. Could not see thru the fluid. After service fluid was very red and transparent. Car is sitting at 81k miles now.
For $350 you are most definitely getting ripped off. A dealership can do this for you for less than $200. No need to drop the transmission pan.
