VVEL module problem

2010 G37X was in limp in mode with trouble codes P0189 P01092 and P1608. Perform diagnosis as per fsm. Diagnosis for trouble code showed bad vvel module. Replaced module and car ran fine for a week. On another start up check engine light came on and back in limp in mode with trouble code P01091. Perform diagnostics for trouble code showing bad VVEL module. Replace module with another used module. Car ran fine for a day then back in limp in mode. Have checked power, grounds and wiring for VVEL module. Checked voltage drop on ground circuit. Possible that a VVEL actuator motor is shorting out module?

You might have blown cam cover gaskets. A well-known problem for pre-2012 engines. Causes low oil pressure that will grenade the engine if not dealt with immediately. The leak is imternal so you won't know it from a typical visual inspection.

i have already replaced the VVEL module in my car and still i have the same issue .. so since you took it in no codes and no limp mode? for me its sporadic but when it happens it can be dangerous losing throttle response on the highway

they just guessing and said could need to replace the engine harness for $5200! but not sure if that will fix the problem .. would not tell me what they did to actually troubleshoot my car .. just printed out some stuff from their TECH LINE about other cars with similar problems

yeah happened to me before replacing that part my car was not passing from 1k RPM but when they change the VVEL module they gotta reprogram the new one because I did the same I bought one from ebay was like 60$ I replaced it myself and the car was the same then took it to the dealer they replace the same part but with the difference that they reprogrammed it then my car was fine! also the same part in the dealer was like 1200$
