Thermostat paired with auto transmission cooler?
Would a thermostat be necessary if I purchase an auto transmission cooler? I have a cheaper dealer that I’m in communication with regarding the cooler as opposed to Stillen. I’m just wondering if I should worry about the transmission fluid being cooled at all times vs the thermostat activating the cooling at a certain temp.

I have a 2008, 5AT, with a trans cooler, with Level10's trans pan, no thermostat, no worries. Always want that fluid moving.

Yeah, I would always want fluid flowing and dont buy into the name brand BS. An oil/trans cooler is simply that, as long as it doesn't leak they're all the same.

Assuming you have the 5AT, you'll see trans fluid tubes going into, and out of, one of the radiator end tanks.
