My acceleration is messed up! 2013 G37x.
Someone please help! I drive a 2013 G37x. I've had this car for a year and 9 months. So far, I've installed DC short ram intakes, Kinetix HFCs, HKS Hi Power Mufflers, and a Megan Y-Pipe. My issue has been around since at least February 2017. Possibly even December 2016, my memory is a little foggy on that. What happens is that I'll turn my car on and start driving, and then I realize that my acceleration is messed up. Ill push on the gas pretty hard but the car barely reacts. From 0, you push the gas and it will accelerate really slowly but once you hit about 50, it gets a lot harder to get the car moving faster. You have to really almost floor it just to bring it up to 70. I don't know what is going on with it. I don't know if this is relevant, but I've noticed it usually happens in mornings. I don't know what the issue is. Anyone have advice? My car is an Automatic. Even if I put it into DS Mode, the problem continues. To resolve the issue, I have to pull over and turn my car off and back on. This issue happens rarely. Maybe 2-3 times a month max but its enough to raise concern. Please help!

Maybe you need a tune? I’ve read that having 3 breather mods such as intakes HFCs and exhaust most people recommend getting a tune. Your car may be running rich and etc. Also check your intake connections. Anything loose? I had this issue when I installed my cold air intakes. My car would drive normal then it wouldn’t go past 40mph and etc. I went and got a tune and it fixed everything. Not sure if this applies to you but might fix your issue.

Sounds like some form of limp mode almost? Do you get any dash lights on? Do you have an OBD scanner? Next time it does that might be worth checking for pending codes if you can. Do the RPM go up normally or do they raise slowly as well?

It's possible to go into limp mode and not throw a code. It' happend to me right after my intake install. Same symptoms 0 acceleration at all. Somehow to car reset itself or figured there was not a problem. I'd double check intake install or put oem back in to eliminate those.

^^^ I wasn't sure about that. That's why I asked about "After what mod" it happened. I install headers on my G37 a few years ago and the shop really screw it up and destroyed an 02 sensor, and the car wouldn't go over 40 MPH. But I had a codes, No cel, just my KR going nuts :/
