2013 G37x, 60k on the odometer. Car went into limp mode yesterday, reset to get home. I pulled these codes this afternoon.

Sucks!!!!

NeverBoneStock 10-27-2016 06:04 PM

Are u still under warranty?

Ricio1991 10-27-2016 06:05 PM

Out of warranty? Man yeah my gf 2013 had a small rear oil leak too they had to take care of under warranty and she was at 35k miles.

sLADe781 10-27-2016 06:07 PM

Damn that sucks. I thought 2012+ models had that issue fixed. :(

Really need to find out why this failed before jumping to a conclusion. If it is the rear timing gasket... then this is really bad news.

Victory 10-27-2016 07:29 PM

I'm at 60k. Powertrain warranty goes until 70k.

Judging by several other forum threads, these codes scream rear timing gasket.

Keep us updated. Are you the original owner? Any chance in hell the engine has ever been replaced?

Car is second hand. Got it coming off lease with 34k. I can't imagine a scenario where a car that young on a lease would have had an engine replaced with a used one.

Sorry to hear of this, this is something we really need some confirmation on as that would add many more thousands of vehicles that could be affected. There are several scenarios that could cause those codes though, so lets just stay tuned. Please keep us posted and again, bummin' for you :(

Looking at some values on torque. Camshaft advance on bank 2 is way off spec and doesn't move.

NeverBoneStock 10-28-2016 02:05 AM

That's exactly how mine was reading..

The SES light came on just as I was leaving the house this morning. The car is back in limp mode. Only 17 more miles to the dealership. Fun times.
