"help" Need to fit AT rear end on 6MT car

I broke my rear differential on my 6spd and went out a bought a rear diff from a IPL rwd auto and the flanges are different ,guy gave be the drive shaft because mine also broke at the u joint where it goes to the diff, and I noticed driveshaft is shorter, is there a way to make it work? or did I just spend money on something I can't use?

There is a shop in Chatsworth, Cali that did my 4.08 gear swap.

They have been working on 300s, 350s, 370s, G35s for years. Rear differential is in common.

They are called Specialty-Z. Maybe give them a call and talk to Seb (Sebastian). Or maybe shoot him an email.

Very good guys.

They are usually pretty busy, but a few quick questions shouldn't be a problem for them to help you with.

I thought I mentioned about the different flanges in your other thread. You will need to find a MT shaft to replace because AT shafts are shorter.
Check out pg 101 for AT specs and pg 92 for MT specs.

Are you aware the gearing on the auto diff is different? (numerically lower)

That will help dog it out some... LOL Seriously though you might get better gas with this new diff but that's the only perk I could see... I'm sure your speedo will read incorrectly as well..

This is correct for older cars. However, our cars use the wheel speed sensor for vechile speed.

You are correct. From the FSM:
"A/T MODELS : Description
[VQ37VHR]

ECM receives vehicle speed signals from two different paths via CAN communication line: One is from the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via the combination unit and the other is from TCM."
