serpentine belt, tensioner, and idler pulleys
so my g is making a funny noise when I first crank it up. sounds like its in the belt drive. Im thinking about ordering all the parts before I take the belt off to examine so I have replacement parts ready and on hand. I was just wondering if you guys suggest I go with the infiniti replacement belt, tensioner, and idler pulleys from the dealership or if I could just get some stuff off rock auto? and if so what brands do you guys recommend?
thanks in advance!

Well the OP was talking about more than just buying belts.

I need to replace my Serpentine belt as well, but I plan to get a shop to do it since I'm not experienced in that field (Honesty moment). Should I just purchase the belt and service from a shop or purchase the belt myself and bring it to someone to get it done?

Is this something that would be covered under warranty? I just dropped my vehicle off at infiniti yesterday for the same noises and they informed me that it was my belt, tensioner and pulley. I have extended warranty, they said they're in the process of calling infiniti to see if it would be covered.. haven't heard back yet..

My guess would be no or partially.
This is based on the fact that warranties typically do not cover parts that wear and need routine changes, such as breaks and tires, or routine maintenance, like oil changes. Based on this logic, the belt would be an out of pocket and the tensioner and pulley might be covered.
Now, if the belt wore out faster than it is supposed to, it might be covered under a warranty, similar to the way that most tires have a "lifetime" warranty that will say if they have defect that causes an issue before the "lifetime" (say 3yr/30k miles) of the tire is up then the mfr will replace.
Again, this is all just a guess. I'd ask for an explanation of why it isn't covered if they say it isn't.
