Hanging RPM's
I do not think mine hangs longer than any other stock G37 MT, but I find myself waiting for the rpm's to drop before letting the clutch out on my up-shifts. Anything that can make the RPM's drop quicker when I push in the clutch? Is this a flywheel weight/clutch issue? Sorry I don't know too much about what I am getting myself into, but it would be nice if the car's rpms dropped quicker when in neutral.
Thanks for the insight. |
lighter flywheel, but it gets harder to drive
why is this an issue? |
Suppose it is not a big deal. I have the new clutch pedal coming soon, so I am hoping that fixes some of my issues.

Turn the ac on; rpms will drop faster.
Chris, why harder to drive? I'd think it'd just be a matter of doing things quicker, no? |

My experiences are with 4cyl race engines, but I'd imagine it's the same concept for a larger engine that's in a lower state of tune. |
Right, I'm well familiar with this characteristic. Very prevalent on motorcycles (talk about quick revving). I think I'd actually welcome a quicker spinup/down in this car. Often times have to consciously wait when shifting for the revs to drop to a more appropriate level for the next gear.
