OEM or Aftermarket Motor+Transmission Mounts?
#32
Anyone ever get the vibra-technics engine mount
https://www.vibra-technics.com/nissan/370z
“fast road NIS300M”
if OEM is like a 50a and Z1 is a 70a i feel a 60a might be a good middle ground, like an oem+ or nismo mounts if only they made them. Seems like the NIS300M might fit the bill though.
I’ve had good and bad experience with engine mounts.
went to sti mounts/oem+ on my 86 noticed some mild benefits but zero NVH, then went up a step with some poly mounts and it was a vibrating machine.
Edit: Reading FAQ page has me sold. Just bought them. Guess I’ll be the guinea pig.

Looks like they would be a good solution if your OEM mounts are worn out and need to be replaced.
I want to know if they offer additional performance benefits over OEM
I recently had to remove my POLYURETHANE tranny mount due to bad vibration causing engine knock sensor to pick up some readings and limiting my power. The car also felt like a huge pos with that on.

a few snippets
“Our products are designed to give uncompromising performance.”
“Other benefits include improved handling and driver feel. Lower overall engine movement”
“main difference between a “Road” system and a “Competition” system is the point at which they isolate engine vibration. Road systems have to isolate vibration right down to idle speed which is extremely difficult to achieve whilst controlling engine movement and requires careful tuning of the mount stiffness. Be aware that the “Road” mounts are stiffer than the original equipment so may give some perceptible vibration.”
”Vibra-Technics engine mountings are designed to give excellent NVH performance without compromising engine control.”
”Our policy is a no compromise, ultimate engine mount solution.”

Installed the vibra-technics fast road engine mounts and GKtech rear diff brace this weekend.
Very slight vibration at idle, almost completely gone by 900RPM. Really don't notice anything driving around.
I drove around for about 15mins after install, and then about 25mins again today to work. Aside from when sitting at a complete stop, I really didn't notice a difference on my normal commute.
if OEM is a 2/10 in NVH, Z1 Poly a 5/10, and Z1 solid a 8/10 then these are probably a 3/10.
definitely seems like a minimal compromise OEM+ type option.

I have a 2014 w/ 43k miles.
im typically one of the harshest critics when it comes to mods, many people do a random mod whether drivetrain mounts/brace or catbacks or lightweight whatevers etc… and proclaim a profound difference, “really woke the car up, I feel so much more connected, so much lighter and more nimble etc…” and ill do mod and be like eh not really much difference and dragy 0-60, 1/4 mile, 60-130 etc… show maybe a 1/10 faster but the reviews people had make it seem like a half second faster. The placebo butt dynos really fool a lot of people. So others may say this mod has greater benefits…
it definitely is stiffer, below 900 rpm it created a tiny vibration that wasn’t there before. Nothing crazy but noticeable. I have a few random rattles here and there that are typically only triggered at specific rpm/load/throttle combination and those are now slightly more frequent/prominent but again nothing crazy.
if Nismo created an OEM+ optional performance mount this would be it. Feel like it’s a good middle ground between OEM and Poly.
would it do the mod again, most likely, do I recommend it, maybe maybe not, depends how much you value your time/money and enjoy wrenching.
if you need to replace oem this is a good upgrade option. If you’re making a decent amount of extra power over stock and want a mount to pair with it and hold up better with less movement this is a good option.
overall a solid choice, but many mods I would recommend doing first that are better bang for buck or have more profound differences. Drivetrain mounts/braces are down the list. I’m just at that point in my build that these are more worth it.

Thanks @14Q60awdSPORT , I have a Q60x 2014 as well, but with 85K Miles on it, so your input is greatly appreciated.

I noticed that the OEM mounts are engineered to start hitting metal after the goop, which under hard acceleration would provide a more direct connection as opposed to something like PU
