Mods (Power/drivetrain):

Z1 ported plenum
Z1 poly trans mount
Stillen GIII Intakes
Stillen UD Pulley
Stillen Grounding Kit
Berk HFC (1st Gen)
FI Exhaust (1st Gen)
UPREV @ ZCar Garage
Transgo 5AT Upgrade

Allow me to make a note about the FI exhaust. The Magnaflow X-pipe was removed due to speedbump damage the system is now a very noisy true dual with no interconnection between the pipes. I believe this is causing me to lose power, since AFAIK, N/A engines benefit from the "scavenging" effect that the x-pipe provides. One thing I did notice, however is that my car has teh torques. Regardless, I placed an order for a new, non-res X-pipe from Tony. I'm eager to see what id does for HP in another month or 2 when I get it!

So the red Dyno line is after you installed the m370 or just the tune after it was installed?

Run file 7-- in red -- shows whp and wtq with ALL mods, post TUNE. As I said before, I did not dyno my car after each mod. I posted the dyno so others could see what a tune looks like with similar mods. Also, we are talking about the Z1 ported plenum, not the M370.

Thats probably a good idea... Z1's port job is pretty rough. I sanded mine a little bit and cleaned out a decent amount of particulate matter before installing.

also:

"Sky Soldiers" ... 2/503

I've been reading the whole thread and I'm interested in the power this Z1 mani would put plus the ART pipes..Any ideas?
FYI, My car is bone stock and I want to start off by these two mods Z1 Mani & ART test pipes.

Thanks

Installed the Z1 plenum with a Takeda short intake. Noticed "a little" extra pep, but nothing great. Not sure it's worth the money. Save up for forced induction or nitrous kit, IMHO.

^ i don't understand why people still picking shorties over long CAI's ?!
Why wud u pick the short setup when there is a long version available by takeda ?!
shorties make u lose power due to heatsoak, with z1 plenum i assum u suck more heat now .. that's why u're not happy.

Hey I tried the M370 and took one look at how it is retrofitted and decided not to install moving lines to the back etc? If I had known it was a used intake with holes drilled out to fit the engine I would have passed right from the start. That's not exactly what the engineers had planned when they made the 37VQ engine. The stock unit is pretty good and with a tune and a Gen 3 you will see some nice improvement. The gain you get with the Z1 will work but not really for normal daily driving. A intake spacer would do the same thing but now we are going back to the 4 barrel carb era. LOL

All I heard from Motordyne was that the M370 had longer intake runners

I'm just curious why you say the Z1 one is not really for everyday driving??
so you don't want to have more power when driving?
comparing the stock vq37 manifold to the vq35 or as people say the M370 there is a difference in hp and tq almost thoughout the entire power band.

The M370 WILL lose WHP above 7100 RPMs, But will get more in the midrange.
