MPG with a supercharger

MPG with a supercharger

(NA)
G37 models with the manual gearbox are actually the least fuel-efficient, at 17/25; models with the automatic get up to 19 mpg city, 27 highway.

So how much MPG LOST should be expected with a SC setup compared to NA?

I only get 20mpg. On a bad day 18

MPG should be the last worries when boosting a VQ.

^^^^ I'm gonna second this.

So you're only getting "20mpg" on the Highway so your losing 7MPG. What setup do you have Forced Induction speaking?

Explained the easy way

Some people claim their fuel economy rose on the highway with a supercharger.... this is cruising and most likely is true in hilly area since the sc keeps pushing the motor so you don't have to keep pushing the gas up the kills. The important thing to remember is this.... when you get the thing put on your car expect 16mpg max for at least a tank. you will be getting on it every single chance you get. so to sum it up. Drive normal and you get decent mileage close to stock..... :driving:drive like you have a 500 hp car and get 500hp car gas mileage.

^exactly, you can't make high hp without burning fuel.
500+hp is going to diminish mileage significantly.
My 4 banger with stock turbo, I'm 348awhp/318awtq.
Mileage is horrible, but power is excellent.
You won't notice it unless you romp it constantly.

This is the exact truth ^^^ I have a supercharged G and I find I have better fuel economy now then I did before. Unless of course I am pushing it... Then it goes twice as quick.
