Kudo's to you and your companies accomplishment.

Question for you?

What is the reason(s) why your specific requirement for the FI TT kit for the G be a 6MT Coupe as opposed to a 6MT sedan? They're practically the same car.

Regards

Tony, I would assume because the coupe in 6MT is 10x more common than a 6MT Sedan. If the kit is to be successful, they have to sell a substantial amount, and although the sedan and the coupe are practically the same car, the front end is completely different, which affects piping and intercooler fitment.

I understand you directed this question @Tony, but the simple answer is....the Coupe was the next in line on the list. Initial production schedule was the 370, G37 coupe, and then onto the G37 Sedan. We still today have not confirmed that the LTH's fit without any issues within the G sedan, therefore we do not know if the manifolds/spacing from the G coupe vs the G sedan is indeed the exact same.

As chilibowl stated above, the differences between the 370 and the G37 is already accounted for, the intercooler piping. We have not accounted for the exact differences of the manfolds/downpipe room from the Coupe VS the Sedan.

ALL TO COME! Thank you everyone for your patients. The coupe is making progress daily.

Automatic owners out there.....the 370 auto officially fired up and was driven yesterday! Updates/pricing on the tranny upgrades to come as well.

Thank you!

So now that you guys have the first G coupe for testing, is there an approximate release date for this turbo kit on the manual G coupe?

It is my G that is there. I have not been in contact with Tony as I have been busy remodeling at my church. Tony also knows I am in no hurry as the winter here in the Midwest is not good for a rear wheel drive car. I didn't even get the car out until June one 2014. With the Holidays I would guess he has been busy but I will give him a shout.

What are you talking about? Winter is the BEST time to have a RWD car! Especially one that will push 500hp . Hope he has some good progress news for you. I'm sure it's coming along just fine!

The car is currently "street tuned" via data logging from Sebastian at SpecialtyZ. Our 7AT upgrades are supporting the power/torque just fine! I will post all of the details and first dyno results within the next few weeks.

Stay tuned...

UPDATE as of 11:15am central time:

MOTOR IS PULLED** Intercooler is mounted(no modification needed). One large discovery when pulling the motor was the 4-Wheel Active Steer system (4WAS). Very good thing the prototype has this as we can account for it with the routing of the intercooler piping. Manfolds, Turbos and downpipes will be mounted up shortly for test fitting.

Stay tuned everyone for updates!
