I did feel a difference when I had the headers on my G, but I just hated how it changed the tone of the exhaust. I actually took them off to give my car that stockish VQ growl again.

It smooths out the exhaust if that makes sense.

Solis this should answer your question about tone change.

This is with just stillen high flow cats and catback:

YouTube - 370Z with Stillen Exhaust and Berk Hi-Flow Cats

YouTube - 370Z w/ Stillen Exhaust & Berk Tech HFCs: Launch Clip

This is with headers, test pipes and catback.
This is kind of a bad video, but you can hear the tone difference in the exhaust that the headers make.

YouTube - G37 @ Elite Importz

Unless Fast Intentions decide to make an unequal length header, it's going to sound comparable.

Well that video also has test pipes non resonated. Add high flow cats and it sound deeper, but the tone will sound the same.

Back on track, the cars power is great and it seems the 370z loves bolt ons. I can't. Wait for my test pipes to come in!

Maybe not for the 370. I know it is for the G37.

Why does the Z put out better numbers then the G if its the same motor and i think the tranny is the same? Is it because of the ECU? If so why cant we just copy the tune?
