GT Motorsports: GTM Rear Differential Cooler Kit

We would like to introduce our new differential oil cooler kit for all the hardcore enthusiasts out there. Heat is the main factor contributing to oil breakdown, and can lead to premature failure of your limited slip differential under extreme conditions. Traditionally a finned differential cover would be used but they usually only provide marginal improvements in cooling.

For the serious enthusiasts we have designed and developed a heavy duty differential oil cooler kit that will meet and go beyond your expectations. We know this modification isn't for everyone, but for the people that do need (serious road racing/drag/drift) we have it for you! This will also help extend the service life of your gear oil since it won't be getting as hot under extreme conditions.

We will have the basic cooler available as a standalone, with our aluminum shroud as an option. This shroud will help force air directly at the cooler, significantly increasing its performance, it also acts as a mounting bracket.

Another option will be a programmable temperature activated control unit which will control the pump to only come on once the desired temperature as been reached. This will increase pump life and avoid having the pump on when not needed.

Wow this looks cool, but what about people who have the muffler in that general area? Do we need a twin canister type exhaust?

GTM 05-19-2009 09:35 PM

Correct you will need an exhaust that leaves the center section open, we also offer a kit with longer hoses so you can mount the kit however you would like. It can be made to work with both exhaust.

Anyone know what inline filter that is/what AN size?

Ape Factory 07-16-2016 08:51 PM

I can't really tell for sure from the photos but it's probably either an 8 or 10an line.

I'm also going to guess that it's made by XRP, possibly was a custom job for GTM.

Here's their catalog, check out page 47.

I take back the XRP suggestion (although they have something that would work). The other fittings are Russell. Check there.

Does anyone have the fittings sizes for this? Im thinking would need 10mm x 1.25 to -6 and for the diff, then a reducer of -8 to -6 to go to to pump and same going back in? Thanks!

Ape Factory 08-09-2016 10:29 AM

Are you using an afermerket diff cover like the one from Z1? If so, write to them and see what AN size the ports are. Is the pump definitely -6?

Yes the Z1 cover and used -6 for the trans cooler and diff cooler. Here's what the setup looks like.
