Guys on this board who dont argue. Great. I am just trying to share my experience with other G37S owners. If you have a automatic G my comments dont apply. The manual shift is a much different ride than an automatic and I havent heard of engine problems/oil consumption issues with the autos.

I was changing my oil myself with Mobile 1 extended and did not know about the ester oil... Well, the first cold day here in NY i drove two blocks gave the car some gas and the engine went.
My car also had a oil consumption issue 25 quarts of oil in 10 months. Something is up with these new G37 engines trust me, use the ester based oil.

Magnetized oil...You blew up your engine with Mobil 1...25 quarts in 10 months...The automatic has a different engine than the manual.

lol.

I'd comment, but I'm out the door to hit up autozone for some synthetic blinker fluid.

Make sure you drain the old out and don't just top up. Otherwise, you might blow up your blinkers if you hit the stalk too hard before they have fully warmed up.

note: according to training in the new vvel system , the new Ester 5w-30 is a group 5 . MOBIL 1 is group 4 .
i used on my g37s and 2007 Versa 1.8. engine is very quite at cold starts and also after 5000km the oil stays in a good condition
