Uniden R3 Hardwire

Anyone hardwired one of these into the mirror? I see some DIY threads on doing it with Passports, but unsure what kind of wiring kit I can get to do the same with the R3. Any advice?

Thanks!

EDIT: Seems like it should be straightforward. I've found harnesses for the R3 with what appears to be the same type of microtaps. I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens.

Yes, I have my Uniden R3 hardwired. I originally used the microtap setup, but I switch my R3 between 2 vehicles and over time those taps would tend to work lose. I've sense hard spliced those wires directly into the harness that goes to the mirror.

Here's a post that should help:

Yup, that was the DIY post I was looking at. I ordered a kit for the R3, thanks!
