DIY: Auto Folding Mirror Module Install

Auto Folding Mirror Module Install
Hello,
Thought I would share some tips for anyone trying this. Haven't found anything online yet.
Special Thanks to Modme and ILM-NC G37S for leading the way.
This link will get you started.

I didn't want to dremel or add switches and just wanted the car locks to close open the mirrors so I got the auto fold module mentioned in the link.
I'm not too great with reading the FSM and wiring so it took me more hours than I will tell you.
Funny, I didn't have the pins in the doors as I have a 2009 G37s. So I had to pin both sides and that was a pain. I attached a tip to get those connectors out (use clothes pins to push it out), then make sure to open the lock hatch so you can slide the new pins in easily. I'm adding the LED turn signal blinkers to the mirrors so I added 3 new pins, 2 for the signal to cross over to the passenger side and one for the turn signal. oh and make sure to get them from your infiniti dealer. I got mine from Nissan as I thought they would be the same (even same part#), nope they were slightly bigger and I broke 2 of them trying to ram them in, they should slide easily in.
I used a coat hanger to fish the wiring through the door harness which helped.
So the module wiring hooks up as following:
Yellow or accessory goes to the sky blue wire on B
Grey- Don't use
White- Don't use
Black ground goes to black wire on B
Red constant 12v goes to yellow wire on B
Green is Door Open Actuator goes to pink wire on C
Blue is Door Close Actuator goes to light green wire on C
Orange wire goes to close mirror wire which is pink wire on D
Brown wire goes to open mirror wire which is orange wire on D
Remember to solder the wires and put a nice plastic sleeve over them.
Main Driver door stripped down and speaker removed.
Module wiring
Power Mirror Switch
Door Actuator wiring hidden behind speaker. Remember the window will need to roll down so make sure wires don't get pinched.
Folding Mirror connections at top of door.
Didn't have a tool to pop these out.. used clothes pins.
Coat hanger pushing wires through the boots..

Hi guys,
I'm trying to follow this and I'm getting stuck. I have a vert with the mirror fold button, so I need to use the "Don't use" Gray and White wires. However, I can't for the life of me find a wiring diagram of the car to figure out which wire is which and what I need to connect to.
Where should I look to figure out what wires in my car door are what? Thanks!

G37 Factory Manuals
Scroll to find your year and car. From there you will need to download section MIR (Mirror). You might also need to download sections ADP (Automatic Drive Position) and PG (Power/Ground). Personally, I would recommend you download the whole thing just to have on hand.
I never could get the eBay, cheap Chinese crap module to work so I ended up getting the OEM Nissan one. The wiring was still a royal PITA.
Good luck!

For some shop manuals- for who knows what idiotic reason (maybe to save ink?)- some of the signal values were left blank on the connector ID tag... For some circuits you can cross reference other sections to fill in the blanks. Here is the schematic for the mirror (with ADP system):
Technically, for the folding mirrors, there are only 4 wires (2 each side) at the mirror switch (D17):
LEFT/DRIVER MIRROR: pins 3 & 6,
RIGHT/PASS MIRROR: pins 2 & 5.
The switch controls polarity which operates the open/close function.
I've modded several electrical systems in this car (AV, steering/SRS, etc.) but like I mentioned earlier, wiring in this module was a real pain in the rear for me. Maybe because it is so simple it makes it aggravating...

Not sure if the right place, but i kept forgetting to press the mirror button when driving off so my mirrors stay folded. I was spoiled by my other cars that did this automatically.
I bought this kit from aliexpress and installed it and it works, is plug and play and requires no splicing/cutting. The only thing is requires is dismanteling the entire door panels.
The module folds mirrors on lock and unfolds on unlock. It also closes/opens windows & sunroof on button hold.
The tricky part of this kit is that you need to get to the door lock actuator plug, which is behind the 2nd panel in the door, so you need to remove it. I did not remove the window but taped it to the door using some ducttape so it doesnt fall down when unbolting the panel.
I used these instructions to get the panels off:
Door lock actuator plug
Door lock actuator plug sits behind here inside the door
