Most recent code I received was "Sport16" I think if you sign up for emails they will send you promo codes periodically.

I was debating between 5" & 6" because OP stated approx size of single filter that comes with the Takeda is 12" and the way AFE measures size is from inlet opening to the top of the filter so I was thinking 6's might be a better fit.

Let us know how it works out!

Did you end up oiling those filters or just left them?
I emailed K&N and they stated it came pre oiled.

Thanks for the code, saved 5 bucks

The single filter is 10.5 inches in "height" so I went with 5" filters to give me a 1/2 inch to an inch gap in between the filters, depending on how I mount them on the intake. Should look nasty

Nice! Glad to help. Post some pictures after you put them on, I'm interested to see how they look as well as if you notice any driving difference.

Long time no talk! I've had the intakes in for a while and just wanted to make sure everything was running good before I posted my findings.

The AFE filters I ordered fit right in. It did require a minor modification though, I had to notch the rad support cover in several places so that it would not rub on the filter top hat and base. After I did that, everything buttoned right up. I ended up cutting out my ducts because they WERE restricting flow and causing a loud intake resonance after about 5k rpm.

The filters look great but may or may not alter HP; I felt nothing with the butt dyno.

The one downside is that there is a whistling type of noise under low loads. Usually when in 2nd or 3rd gear while the pedal is at 5% throttle just maintaining say 15-25 mph. I'm going to order the other style of filters (I got the dry filters that don't require oiling) and see if that will get rid of the noise. The filters I ordered were also a flat top style and these new filters will have inverted tops.

Was there any whistling with the takeda filter? Are these duals louder? Love the grill!

I don't hear whistling on my Takeda filters.

Nope, never had any issues with the single filter and when I installed these all I did was remove that single filter and replace it with these two so the source of the noise is 100% the dual filters. I don't believe these are any louder.

I'm currently running flat top filters, so I am going to switch over to inverted filters. This should fix the noise. Just waiting on aFe to get back to me on some emails..

Subbed.

Interested if there was a difference on the dyno switching to Dual cones rather than the single.
