working it out in a criss cross is good advice... it may also be stuck in from dissimilar metal corrosion (forgot what its actually called)...from the aluminm knucke and the steel bearing assembly being in contact and being exposed to the elements...you could try soaking it in PB blaster for a while in conjunction with Seacash's advice..also you could try a slide hammer as mentioned a few posts back

Anyone use 3M copper anti-seize on these wheel hub bolts? What's about 3M copper anti-seize on axle nut for my AWD 13' G37x?

Good write up...BTW: It took me ~4hours to do...but I also spent that working on my exhaust system too.

i just did this over the weekend. Both hubs were seized to the spindle. Lots of hammering and cussing

Agreed...lots of pounding to get it out... Perhaps a slide hammer should have been used?!? I will give that a shot if I have to do my RF..

Thanks for the write-up!

Thanks for this excellent DIY!

Also, I want to add my name to the list of folks who had to do a bit of hammering to get off (knock off) the front wheel hub. After the rubber mallet proved ineffective over the course of 10 minutes, I resorted to a WD40 and 4-lb sledgehammer.

I will be sure to try the crisscross method suggested by seancash when I have to do another.

Another alternative is using a bolt and nut to press the hub out - see my thread starting here https://www.myg37.com/forums/build-t...ml#post4310207

Great idea, Mike! (Like you, I don't understand why a threaded boss isn't included on the wheel hubs!)

Just be aware that it is likely you will ruin even a grade 8 / 10.9 bolt doing this. Those aren't cheap LOL

Hi, I need to replace my front wheel bearing, i found this post, OP mention the brand and part number, TIMKEN Part # HA590376, now when i do a search every auto parts shops, it never shows up as compatible part, even rockauto shows a bunch but not that 1, they have it, but it wont show up searching parts for my car, I have a 08 G37S Coupe, will it vary from lets say a sedan to a coupe, or S and no S? in the photos it looks like the same as mine, will this TIMKEN HA590376 fit my car? I saw some around $40 and a bit more on rockauto, but Im going for Timken since I read good reviews here.

Thanks!

I checked the part finder at Timken and the part numbers are correct:
Front: Timken HA590376;
Rear: Timken HA590255:

Then, I searched rockauto.com for a 2008 and came up with the same part #'s:
