It works it cleans out the fuel injection system. use a straw and tape that way it sucks the liquid slowly. Its mean to be slow if you buy the machine to do it the liquid drips for about fifteen mins. Half in gas tank then other half through vacuum line.

I don't see why not. Warm your car up to normal operating temperature and SeaFoam away.

It is recommended to split into 3 parts. 1/3 through the vacuum line, 1/3 in crank case, and 1/3 in gas tank. But I would only do the 1/3 in crank case if my oil is due.

I successfully applied seafoam to the vacuum line, crankcase as well as the gas tank in the mentioned rations 1/3 for each. The car did release a cloud of smoke not as thick as seen in the youtube video. It is running very smoothly, Thanks for the input.

I did half in gas, and half in the tank. I saw a slight improvement overall. It started smoking before I was able to get half in, and just about 5 minutes more after 35 minutes of letting it stew.

Hate to revive an old thread but quick question, I'm thinking about doing a seafoam treatment on my g. What exactly are the benifits? Will it slightly improve my gas mileage?

Dessidee90 did you end up seafoaming your car? Does everything think this is work it, not worried about any price obviously but I heard from a lot of people it is bad for the car?

for anyone actuallly wanting to do this, here's what i go by:

i go by the rule of 1.2 oz roughly per liter displacement, and for each quart of oil your car uses for each change.

so 3.7L, i usually put about 4 oz into the oil (directly), let sit for about 5 min, then cut it on and run till smooth.

for the brake booster line, i use 4-5 oz. wait 10-15 min (directions on the bottle itself), then cut it on and run it till the smoke goes away.

i NEVER put more than 1/2 of the bottle into my gas tank...usually about 1/3 of the bottle.

usually, one bottle will suffice for all three DIYs. and the difference is amazing. i'm averaging about 19-20 mpg, CAI, partial exhaust (minus headers and catback pipe), no tune.

as for how often you do it, i perform it about once every other month.
