DIY: Grounding kits made simple, step by step guide to making your own!

that’s the problem. Nothing aftermarket is causing this! Since I bought the car, there’s been this tiny noise in the audio, and I had thought this would have fixed it. Whatever it may be, I’ll check out that side of the forum and try and figure this out.

Hi there, after reading a lot of good things that people who have actually used a ground kit on their cars im going to try it out one weekend and see if it helps, i have the 5AT. I was just wondering does the tranny need a ground wire as well?

UPDATE: As others have mentioned, after installing the ground wires, shifting speed has significantly increased. Before, when in DS and manually shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, it would be an estimated 1.5secs to shift but now it's about .5secs. I can't say much about the audio as i don't pay attention much to it but my goal was to increase the shifting speed. While i understand it won't make the car any faster, it definitely makes for a better driving experience. There are still some extra wires, so i'll probably ground both throttle bodies this weekend.

So my car has been sitting for the past 3 days, went to go start it this morning and it wouldn't start. Interior lights will flicker a bit and there will be a slight crank but it wouldn't turn over.
After a jump from my wife's car, it started back up...anyone else experienced this problem after installing a grounding kit?
I went through all the wires again to make sure they were all tightened. After a check of the battery voltage, it will hover around 13v after the car warms up...thoughts?

You can get those sweet audio gains
I can understand where some might say it's snake oil but I actually installed this the moment I got the car home and ran it for over 20k miles. I didn't really experience the car without it. Decided to experiment and took it off for a week and the difference was quite noticeable. The transmission is lazy but without this it's downright comatose. Even in 'DS' mode the downshifts were very slow and lethargic. Sudden aggressive throttle inputs would actually result in a very noticeable delay where it seemed like the car outright refused to downshift. I remember counting in that week 3-4 separate times where I noticed the transmission behave differently than it did when the grounding kit was installed when the throttle input was practically identical.
While it was installed, the transmission was no DCT but at least it would pick up the pace and be predictable when I asked it to and the downshifts in 'DS' were noticeably snappier.
As a 6MT owner, I highly recommend you pick up that bell brace that's been the hot topic as of late. As I stated in 4DRZ's review of it, that brace does for traction and power delivery what a thicker swaybar does for bodyroll and eliminating understeer (AWD) and oversteer (RWD).
