I'm about to paint correct my sedan and was looking for a few last minute pointers. I've done a lot of research on products and techniques, but was looking for some stuff specific to our cars. I made a list of the process I will take, using some info from this forum, too (see below). I believe I read somewhere here that our paint is on the thinner side, and to be careful. I'll start with polishing compound before going with a stronger cut. I'm probably going to practice on another car first

Detail Process
1. (Take off front license plate)
2. Wash (Use Bug/ Tar Remover)
3. Clay w/ spray detailer (Straight Lines only)
a. Including Windshield
4. Rinse and Dry
5. (Optional: Clean Exhaust tips with Metal Polish)
6. Spray with Water and Rubbing Alcohol Mix
7. Tape windows/ Trim
a. Also tape edges
8. Compound (Meguiars Ultimate Compound on CG Orange Hex Logic Pad)
a. Max speed 5-6; some pressure
b. Use distilled water to soften the pad before use
c. In between each panel, use a toothbrush to loosen the pad
d. Wipe with a microfiber
(Repeat the combo that works over the entire car. Do small areas, work slowly, take breaks, wipe away residue thoroughly. Other tips:
Switch pads as they get gummed up/saturated. They become less effective and residue begins to become harder to remove. This is why I recommend two or even threeof each pad. If you run out, wash one (soap and water), dry it by putting it on the PC, putting the PC in a bucket/recycle bin etc, and spin it up to speed 6; the water will flyout into the bucket.)

9. Finishing Polish (M205 Ultra Finishing Polish on CG White Pad)
a. Max speed 4; little to no pressure
b. In between each panel, use a toothbrush to loosen the pad
c. Wipe with microfiber
10. Wipe entire car using a mixture of Water and Rubbing Alcohol (70%) Mix w/ Microfiber
a. 50:50 in a spray bottle
11. Paint Sealant (CG Black Pad)
a. Speed 1
12. Wax
13. Quick Detailer if needed

Buy extra mop heads and compound. Better to have extra then need more half way through. Always use wet head to keep from paint burn

Not sure what sealant you are using but you shouldn't need a wax over it...unless you just like the looks of wax.

Looks like a solid plan...you should post before and after pics.
