Just a short review of Dr. Colorchip:


I purchased the kit for my graphite shadow 2013 coupe that got a few small deep scratches on the hood from flying highway debris. I had read a few reviews on here that described a poor paint match but went with them anyway.


Just want to say that for my car the KAD graphite shadow is literally a perfect paint match. I am having to use multiple coats to fill the tiny but deep scratches but am very happy with the color.

dark grey is easy to match. white sucks lol

LOL...crappy weather has prevented me from completing the fill in. I'll post a pic when I get the job done.

I tried paintscratch.com for my KAD sedan. What they sent what practically black.

Had to do a paypal dispute to get a refund. Ended up using the oe nissan touchup paint for the few small spots. I was willing to pay 2x but don't have time to mess around. It's funny, in the paypal dispute, they give me 2 different addresses to ship the item back to; 1 before the claim was escalated, and then another after escalation. To boot, I get a direct email from someone in the company telling me they don't do refunds. Given what I read, I had a feeling I might have issues which is why I paid with paypal.

Dr. Colorchip works good, and the color match is perfect (at least on the 2 vehicles i tried it on).


FYI - it expires in a year, and by expires, i mean it turns to a thick, unusable muck. my dumb fault - that is clearly stated on the product.

Just got my order in today's mail. Any hints/tricks?

I'm dreading the amount of work it's going to take to do my car. The front fascia has seen too many thousands of miles on the New Jersey Turnpike. I know these cars have soft paint, but damn.

Clean area with dish soap then clay bar it and wash it once more. Do paint repair in shades area when it's not over 90 degrees and try to keep air flow away. Easier to do small sections so you aren't rushed. When your done with the top coat let it sit in uv heat outside to cure
