Just had to one up my poor $20 corded one, didn't you? It's probably more than worthwhile to spend The extra money on a cordless one. I'll probably be doing that now.

...tried my corded leaf blower for first time yesterday and just ended up wiping it down in the end with a chamois but I can say that it got the bulk of water off the car, after that it was a simple wipe down...so wouldn't go out and buy a cordless blower just for car drying I mean geez what next...special "synthetic oil" , top tier gas, engine mods....when will the madness end

If you have a good coat of sealant on the car a leaf blower will get 95% of the water out. I barely need to use a waffle weave towel just use it to suck up some water droplets.

its seriously one of my favorite tools. i have the older EGO model, but there is a newer, more powerful one:

56V battery, fully charges in 45 minutes or less. check the CFM's - the 40V ones can't cut it.

i originally bought it for my yard - surrounded by trees, its LEAF -APOCALYPSE in the fall. makes life SO much easier not dragging a freaking extension cord from the front yard, back yard, up to the deck ...


THIS. first time i tried it, seemed like a pain to do the whole car, but it was helpful getting water out of headlight and trunk creases, side mirrors, and drying wheels.
after trying Hrdr02 spray sealant, the water just flies off the car. like water on your windshield on the highway with Rain-X on it ...

MasterBlaster 8hp car dryer. Then spray wax with a GOOD microfiber for any water spots.

for less than 1/2 that, you can get the cordless, which can also be used around the yard.

eh ... i'd check out something with more CFM's. you'll probably regret that 40V Ryobi.

the eGo (56V), Worx (56V), and Kobalt (80V) are the only ones i'd be shopping ...

Agreed, if you can afford it buy the master blaster it has heated air and multiple attachments, wheels on the unit, long hose etc. Much better than a leaf blower....but from a price comparison stand point a leaf blower will get it done. I own the Master Blaster you can shop around and get it for around 298 on sale. Its a one time cost and I have owned it for like 7 years...very sturdy quality build.

hard to imagine you need more just to blow water..
would have assumed for cars that have been clayed and waxed that it shouldnt require too much effort...

I paid 309 on Amazon, shipped. It's cheap insurance against swirls and scratches. IMO I'm ultra picky about my cars so I bit the bullet and dropped the coin. After watching my neighbor using his leaf blower on his Mercedes I know I made the right choice. But hey whatever works for you is cool, I'm not criticizing.(I also use my MasterBlaster to groom my German Shepherd, and to blow stuff off the walk and away from the bushes)

Truth ^ leaf blower on a Merc...
Another use: My wife dropped some water on one of my floor mats in my old car. I took out the master blaster and with the hot air basically dried it out completely within minutes..when I clean my garage I also use it to help and dry it out....
