Polishing Illuminated Kick PLates

Can the illuminated kick plates be polished with something like Mothers metal polish? My look very dull and have faded/water spots.

I had the same issue. I used Blue Magic Metal Polishing Cream and they look new again. I use the cream on my Cusco bar as well.

Try white vinegar with water in a 1-10 ratio spray on and let a sec see if that removes the spots before you use a polish

Novus 2 plastic polish for the logo area. Agreed about the vinegar solution for the rest before you go to a metal polish for that silver area.

BTW, Novus 2 is like a traditional wet polish and Novus 1 is a spray. Price is affordable and they will both last you years. Great for headlamps and taillamps! Buy Novus 3 for real bad scratches and work down to 2 and 1 to get a factory polish.

Thanks everyone for the tips.

I use 303 Protectant. Cleans like a champ, removing those spots that seem to form on the aluminum. Protects both the alumnum and the plastic.
