Is it pretty easy though?

it's not hard at all. just follow the guide. it'll look half *** if you do it with wheel on.

x2

I don't see a way to keep the wheel on and do a good job. Any time saved by not taking the wheel off will be lost during the installation, plus the additional frustration. The wheel comes off in 10 minutes, and if you follow the DIY, there is not chance of airbag deployment/issues/lights.

I say if it doesn't come out right pay forum member 'Ryne' and buy one from him! He did mine and everyday I walk into my car I'm just simply amazed at the immaculate work he did!

^ Yeah but then i'd have to buy another whole wheel and ship him it. If i can find the DIY then i'll probably just take the wheel off and give it to a family member who is good at sewing stuff and they can do it for me lol.

No he buys the wheel does all the work and ships it out to you and then you return him your stock steering wheel at a discounted refund! I wouldn't have been able to do it any other way on a count my car is my only daily driver. And I swear his work is absolutely meticulous. I'll take some pictures of mine tomorrow and post them but I'm pretty sure he has some in his photo gallery including one in his own car as well! Definitely look into it and he's a great guy with incredible communication throughout the entire process.

Thanks Kenny! I actually have 2 steering wheels in my possession right now, so it won't be too long until another one is ready.

I bought my 2009 g37 with 77k on it and while the steering wheel is worn it looks nothing like the wear on yours. It was a little dry so some leather care improved it but looks like you are going to need way more than that. I would not consider yours normal wear.

Looks good! Every stitch and tight. I was going to attempt this w/e but I spent a lot of time (4 hours) doing the center console in 3M Di-NOC and Easter stuff.

The last one I had for sale at $299 if you send me back your wheel (no electronics or anything). It sold in less than 24 hours though, lol.

Did mine finally, came out really well.

The thumb grip things were loose on mine as well at first, but after reading online i found a trick - use a steamer machine to shrink the leather and it becomes nice and tight.

If you don't have a steamer machine then soak the wheel in really hot water and then leave it in the sun to dry.

i'll take a pic later.
