How to remove touch-up paint?
Hey guys,
I had a small chip and tried to touch it up using the Infiniti touch up pen. I filled the chip but also got some on the surrounding area as the tip of the pen just wasn't fine enough. I could not get the excess paint off before it dried (man, it hardens fast...).
Anyway, looking for a way to remove the excess paint. I tried a light compound but no go. I've heard there are varnishes which work but it's on the hood so I'm leery to try in case it makes a mess.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Honestly I used brake cleaner and it came off INSTANTLY. But many would argue against doing this as it is strong stuff. But what I did was apply it to a microfiber and rub the tiny spot that has touch up paint and immediately run water and clean the area after. Had no issues damaging paint, but try at your own risk. You can also try some meguiars ultimate compound.

"Langka The blob eliminator" will take care of it and works well for smoothing out/down chips you fill in with the paint pen. You can order it right thru amazon for $20 plus shipping.

Don't despair, claying marring and light scratches should polish out easily. This should give you extra incentive into investing into a PC or Flex.
