Meguiar's Wax: Gold Class vs Tech Wax ?
Whats the differences? what works best with what colors?
thanks Gold Class vs Tech Wax |
I've used the Tech Wax 2.0 before. It makes for a nice shine right after you apply it, but after about 3 days it starts to fade. I've never used Gold Class though... I'm about to pick me up some Nattys Blue

i used tech wax 2.0, this might sound stupid but isn't tech wax a lot more expensive than the gold class and they're made by the same company? i would expect the tech wax then to be better....
|
There are much better choices :D.

Gold class is a Carnuba wax. Tech wax is synthetic.
|
tech is easy to apply and remove. Not sure which gives longer protection.
Don question was which of two is better if you had to pick what would you take? |

thanks The Gold Class is a decent was to top a coat of sealant with. It'll bring out more of the shine, however, it's not very durable. It'll last about a month or so before I'd recommend reapplying. The NXT is interesting. It actually does a similar job to a sealant and a wax combined. It has the durability of a sealant and pretty good shine for what it is. However, they don't recommend you put NXT over any other sealant or wax. Not exactly sure why. |

Well they are both good. I've used both in the past before I discovered high end detailing supplies like Menzerna, Pinnacle, etc.

Poorboys World Natty's Blue Paste Wax for $19.99 (I personally use this on my '09 G) P21S Pure Carnauba Wax $49.99 Also, Migliore Original Blend wax $29.99 (which I believe BlackJack has used on his G when he doesn't use Natty's Blue). www.migliorewax.com Check out www.detailedimage.com and click on waxes. Lots of good options there too. Hope this helps! :thewave: |
