I'm a retard...
So I was in a hurry to leave to work this morning, so I run out of the house, back my car out of the driveway. I then back my fiance's car out for her convenience, so she doesnt have to lift the heavy gate and lock it, and it be a bit more simpler for her.. and well.. I forgot the G was behind hers. Yeah, I crashed my own car. I'm a D***.
No damage whatsoever as the hit was at like 4mph, but still, about a diameter of 10 inches of paint chipped. I'm sure a buff will get trid of it, but I am wondering.. what can I do about the about 10 inches long, 1 cm wide of NO paint? it chipped out about this much, and its just black now. What can I do? Thanks ahead for the assistance and the name-calling! :D |
Should've bought Black Obsidian... That way the black wouldn't show as bad... Hehehe... Can you take a pic of the damages? Might have to repaint the bumper bro...

Ugh...sorry to hear. I've heard stories like this more than once.

hmmm...sounds a bit odd. bumpers are made to take a light impact without damage. factory paint should in no way have just flaked off like that. i know that improperly prepped repaints have a tendancy to flake and chip, but i've never heard of this happening to a bumper that hasn't been repainted.

I dont think buffing will put paint back on your car....:bowrofl:
DdotRoq, use Turtle Wax rubbing compound on the lil scrathes... Its what I used when I made a stupid mistake too (bumped into my office building)... It got the paint form the building and the lil scratches off almost instantly!! |

sorry to hear :( is there damage on her car as well? what kind of car is it?
|
Sorry to hear about the damage. But kudo's to you for being gentlemen to your fiance. Maybe they can airbrush the paint to fill it, then blend it?
|
hitting ur own car... sorry man
|
Sorry to hear man.. Mistakes happen. Your best bet is to have your bumper repainted. That's gonna be the only way to have it look right.
