Removing Maguiar's Gold Glass Leather conditioner??

Alright, so I thought it would be good to treat the back seat head rests and seats on my black leather since it sits in the sun most of the time. Well I purchased some Maguiar's Gold Glass Leather wipes and it left the leather surface extremely glossy and slippery/gummy. It doesn't match the other matte leather surfaces and I have streaks everywhere. It even feels greasy to the touch.

I've waited to see if it would dry out or absorb, but nothing. :52:

Anyone have ideas how to remove this mess. I've only had the car 2 months and it looks HORRIBLE!!!

Ahhhh... Good ole Gold Class Wipes. I don't like them either. Get yourself a microfiber and give them a good wipedown first. It will get some of it off for sure. I made the same mistake and used those a few years back.

You can also pick up some Lexol Leather Cleaner & Lexol Leather Conditioner. Great product. I would think the cleaner would help remove some of the gloss the wipes left, but can't say for sure. Then after you have cleaned, use the Lexol conditioner. When you first apply it, it seems like it will be glossy but once you wipe it off, you can't really even see anything was applied, but you've successfully cleaned and conditioned it.

Best of Luck... Even if you don't do anything, the gloss will be gone in about a week or so for sure.

Forgot to mention... You can normally get Lexol at Pepboys and I've seen it at a few Advance Auto Parts stores.

Thanks Guys!

I'll go out today and look for Lexol! It kinda sux I gotta buy more crap to undo what I did. Oh well, as long it cleans up my problem and protects the interior.

Wish me luck!

Ok. Here it is. My first post. I used the same wipes on the passenger seat. DOH!! Please let me know if the Lexol works to clean it up. I used a terry cloth and micro fiber to get most of it off but it still has a sheen to it I'm not happy with. I guess it's the learning curve.

Good thing I used the Gold Class spray bottle and not the wipes. It works great for me, no gloss. Good luck!

i used the wipes too and it had streaks everywhere. The next day i went to a shoe repair shop and bought the lexol cleaner and conditioner and eveything is fine now.
