In the market for a new G37
I've been searching for a used car and I love the G37. I live in the Midwest so I need AWD and so far I've found a 2012 G37xS sedan with 70k miles. I really want to pull the trigger on it but a few things area holding me back. Whats the difference between the coupe and the sedan sport models? Does the AWD sedan not have bigger brakes, wheels, suspension, and tighter steering? I don't really need my next car to be a sedan but I would prefer it to be one. If the sedans don't have the added upgrades the coupes have, am I better off modding a sedan? Thanks in advance!

Get the Coupe!

I found this AWD sport coupe model that I'm definitely considering here:
https://offerup.co/d1dumCpqhU Does AWD sport coupe of this year have a LSD? What else does the AWD coupe lose compared to the rwd coupe sport versions? |
I would get a sport.

I have a '13 G37xS Sedan and love it (like you I'm in the midwest and AWD was a requirement). Try to find a sport model if possible; however note that the sedan is "sport appearance" only- meaning you don't get the LSD, tighter steering ratio/sways, and Akebono brakes that come on the true (RWD manual) sports.
I've added the Akebono brakes and a rear sway from a RWD coupe to my sedan; but that's an added expense that you may want to factor into your decision. |
What about the AWD sport coupe versions? (Linked in my last reply) Do they also lack the steering ratio, and brakes? I'm already aware the LSD is not included for AWD models regardless of body style.

You bet. Three years of ownership and I still have to verify when the specifics on trims are asked.

If you don't haul passengers, get the two-door.
Will always have better resale value, plus they just look better IMHO. |
