2009 6mt sedan value

I am considering parting ways with my 2009 G37S sedan (6MT) with 104k miles. When I look up values on Edmunds/KBB/etc. I am seeing $5-8k. However, when I search various car sites I can find barely any 6MT sedans. Cars.com has two within 500 miles of Baltimore, MD, right around the same mileage, at dealerships being sold for ~11k (see link below). I know there is an element of rarity, and trading into a dealership will not account for this. What is a reasonable price to try to sell it for private party? I bet there are lots of people searching for this car (and maybe even here on this forum). Issues with the car that may affect value: driver side door handle unlock button no longer works, and some backlights on the dash are out. Also open to suggestions on fixing these issues, especially the button.

Go to your nearest Infiniti dealer and price a new Q50. Get a price with a trade in
Whatever amount the dealer is offering you for your trade in double it with For Sale sign

Or you could always advertise best offer?

It is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it

I would look on craigs list and facebook market, find some examples that are similar to yours in miles and condition, note the price and watch to see how long they take to sell. Personally I think 8 or 9 k sounds right. You aren't a dealer, there is a level of inconvenience and risk associated with buying from an individual. People pay a premium for increases in convenience and decreases in risk and that is why dealers get more. I'm not saying there is no risk associated with a car lot, but if they sell you a car with a rolled back odometer or a false vin, or fake smog and registration, or a stolen vehicle, etc, etc, at least you have reasonable method of recourse as a buyer. A scammer will try their best to disappear on you and the buyer is stuck with an 8k loss. I just bought mine and paid 13k for one with 45k miles on it. I saw another with 75k miles for $12000. Cars with 100k miles were 8 and 9k all day long, not even hard to find. KBB had a graph of Miles and model year on the X and Y axis on scatter plot graph with a trend line in the middle. My car fell right on the trend line so I bought it for the asking price but it was a gem at only 45k miles.

Gideon is EXACTLY on point.

I live in Ontario Canada and this is exactly what happened to me sort of based on Canadian value, however at the Nissan Dealership locally for a 2018 Nissan Murano SV AWD. They offered me 12K which actually isn't bad for a dealer trade. I have a 2013 G37 Sport Sedan as well and they are listed privately only in the province, none at dealers for about 20-22K. So expecting half at a dealership is expected in MOST cases. Toyota locally didn't even want to take it as a trade. If you know anyone I have a 13 sedan with 60K Miles (99 000 KM) For Sale best offer in really good condition. But for now I'm going to have to drive it into the ground or else I loose my shirt!
