2011 or 2012?
 

looking at buying either a 2011 or 2012 g37 coupe. what are the differnces and what are some of the concerns I should look for in a 100km 6 or 7yr old car?
also is it worth getting the sport model?

get the sport hopefully it' the 12 as Nissan supposedly fixed the rear timing cover gaskets. They fail causing internal oil leak 2500 USD to fix.

Sport model is definitely worth it for the brakes, steering rack upgrade, and seats...Not to mention what PNW mentioned. Nice to have peace of mind when you can rip into it without that worry.

Thanks guys. Keep the tips coming. I'm making a big jump from a 2.5 Altima to the g37. My main concern is reliability. I know fuel economy will take a big hit. If regular maintenance I'm assuming these cars are tanks?

Very solid. This is my second VQ. Neither has given me much trouble in 4 years. Very solid.

I had to replace my stock battery when it was -10 out..bit of an inconvenience. In all reality though, I've put a little over 30k (60,xxx now) on my car and outside of throwing fresh fluids at her I've yet to have a hiccup driving 100+ miles round trip everyday for work. She also made three trips to NYC without an issue.

Reliability, even with the RTG issue, is the least of your concerns. Keeping the gas gauge north of the 1/2 marker on the other hand...
