2010 Coupe with 22k miles

I've been planning on getting a G37 Coupe for awhile now, but just been putting it off. My budget is around $16k.

I found a nearby 2010 coupe with only 22k miles for $15,500. This is far lower mileage than I can find anywhere for the price. My only concern is it is 7 years old now, I will likely drive this car for years to come until it dies so resale shouldn't be a big concern.

Anything I should know about a 2010 say vs a 2013? I can find around 40k miles on 2013s in my area for about $16,000.

I haven't checked the car out yet, so I can't comment on its condition other than it looks good in the pictures.

That is a great price, but how often was this car driven, and when last? Low mileage is great, but sitting cars have issues of their own. Oil, gas etc etc are all corrosive no matter what the miles. Just something to think about.

If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

No its not!

Something is not right for a vehicle just sitting as it slowly deteriorates.

Check the date codes on the tires. You may need to replace all four just for starters.

This. I looked at a 330i that had 18k on it and it was only 18 grand...I thought that price was too low so I passed on it. I would check the car out if you can, test drive it and see if they will let you have a mechanic check it out. I have no doubt that if it gets a clean bill it will be a great car. MT or Auto?

@ telcoman, did you just not read the words after what you chose to quote? lol

I do realize this, i have a A&P, i had to take a federally certified course on all of it, hence the sentence afterwards.

As far as too good to be true, they do exist out there. I remember when it was common practice to seek out a car from a senior citizen back in the day, cause they tended to not use them much, didn't drive them hard, and generally took car of the car.

I'd say what he is seeing is somewhat close to what i was seeing around MA for prices. It's not too far fetched. He just needs to do his homework to verify the cars condition, and reason for sale. 3rd party mechanic check it out as well...

If OP is still around and has found 2013s w/ 40k miles for only $500 more that would seem like a no-brainer going w/ the 2013, and might still have some warranty lingering too. And yeah Telco, classic Meme there.
