The title of the thread explains it all
I'm still waiting for my xS coupe.

I oreded it just before the disaster in Japan, very late March,
and was promised delivery in Mid-May. and then with the disaster,
it had been pushed back to "sometime in July"

So, I get a call late June, telling me my car is in the US right now, but there is a problem.
They dont have my decklid spoiler installed due to part shortage in Japan...
and they asked me if I want to wait for the spoiler to come in, or take it without the spoiler, and they'll take off the amount for the spoiler from the cost of my car.

So after doing research on the cost of the spoiler and install, it'll be about $700 ish, cash out of my pocket. Where as if I wait for the spoiler to be installed from the "factory" i'm only adding about $300 to the cost of my car.
I have the VPP plan by the way.

Anyways.. I just wanted to vent, and wanted to see if anyone knows a good source to get an OEM spoiler for cheap.

You can always get a replica oem for cheap.

You've already waited this long another week or two will not kill you! I would suggest u wait and ride it out and make sure they give a better deal or some extended warranty for the long wait. None of it is your fault.

jsp872, all you Kettering Grads are so demanding! JK! Can you take delivery and then have them install it later for the $300? I'd wait if they can't do that for you. I ran into the same issue too. I ordered the rear spoiler as well and I had to wait 6 weeks to get one due to the shortage. I was 5th in the nation waiting for one according to the dealer.

plus you not getting the spoiler means you get a rear window mounted 3rd brake light which sucks! And then later you decide to get the spoiler which will have a 3rd brake light and now you will have 4 brake lights lol

If its a port mounted spoiler, the OP will still get a 3rd brake light in the package tray. They no longer swap them out.

I paid $650. I do have the 4 brake lights but they can disconnect the one on the rear windshield.
