Any NJ Lessee's here?
 

I currently live in PA and am moving to NJ in a few months. PA's lease tax is 10%... Does anyone know what NJ's lease tax rate is? Also, what is NJ's registration costs? Someone told me that its over $600 to get a car registered in Jerzee.

I don't know about the lease tax but the registration is high, about $400, b/c it's good for 4 years and you don't need to pay for the inspection like PA. If you lease is less than 3 years, you probably pay less for a shorter registration period.

There's no safety inspection in NJ and the emission is good for the first 4 years so, basically, they charge us a lot w/o doing anything. They used to have every year inspection on both safety and emission but they found a way to save money.
