CNTVQ's Progress Thread - 2010 G37xS Sedan

What's up everybody. I'm new here. Coming from a 2017 Nissan Maxima S lease, which is up in a few days. I wanted to try replace the Max with something comparable for under $10k. So I started looking for G37's, never having driven one before. But the Maxima has 300hp and 261ft. lbs. of torque, and the G37 has 328hp and 269ft. lbs of torque... Alot of people condemn the CVT in the Max, but the 8th gen Max is truly a sports sedan, and the CVT has been revised and its always in the powerband, no rubberbandy feeling, no noise, and it is geared for performance. I love the Maxima.

About 2 months ago, I found a very well maintained 2010 G37xS sedan locally, which had a bunch of maintenance records, fairly new Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires, tint, winter wheels with snow tires, updated (2017) Nav maps, etc. for $7,000 delivered to my door. The previous owner also got an oil change, and changed the engine air filters for me the day before he delivered the car to me.

I've found that both of these cars approach how to do "sports sedan" differently, but they are both very capable and almost equally fast. Now having had the Infiniti for about 2 months now, I love it, and I feel that it will be a very suitable replacement for my Maxima!

I've since done a lot of modifications already, totaling around $5k in mods and labor alone... But I feel that once everything is installed, it will definitely have been worth it! Here is my list... So far I’ve:

-Installed an Optima Red Top battery
-Installed Osram Nightbreaker Laser Xenarc D2S HID headlight bulbs
-Installed DeAutoLed fog lamp bulbs
-Installed new Valeo fog lamp housings
-Installed clear LaminX vinyl overlays for the fogs
-Installed a G37 IPL rear sway bar with bushings and end links
-Installed an Alutec aluminum 1-piece strut bar
-Ordered a Cusco rear power bar (rear tie bar)
-Ordered a custom fit front sun shade
-Installed a Z-speed aluminum engine bay under tray (replaces plastic one)
-Ordered Whiteline rear diff poly bushings
-Ordered a bell Raceworks rear diff brace
-Ordered Z1 aluminum rear subframe collars
-Installed PowerStop Coated rotors and pads
-Installed weather tech floorliners
-Ordered new OEM Struts/shocks, Strut/shock mounts, bump stops, spring isolators, etc (for a whopping $1500!! Crazy expensive)

I dropped the car off at the shop on Friday to get the parts that I haven't installed yet put on. Picking the car up on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

Here are a couple of videos I've made about the car so far:

Maxima vs. G37 split screen (when I was comparing them for myself)

Installing the Z-Speed aluminum undertray:

The rear will definitely feel nice and tight. Great start on mods.

I'd say at least one of my motor mounts are bad.... What do you guys/gals think?
Take note of:
-The shake during startup,
-The shaking/moving over bumps,
-The movements when I hit/let off the gas, and when the transmission downshifts!
