So not much to report, the one wire harness for the Demon Eyes came in Friday so I got those hooked up, Still waiting for the Halo harness to come so I can finalize this install.

On another note, I did have my passenger side muffler hanging loose yesterday. Apparently the nut that was holding the hanger on, somehow got loose and fell off

So I used some Teflon tape and tightened both sides down. Strange as I've never had that problem before. Going to order some locking flange nuts today

Finally bit the bullet on Tuesday. It's been raining here everyday now for a week and the water has continued to come into the passenger side floorboard. After months of trying to attempt fixing this myself....I gave in. Had the dealership replace both front P and D side grommets since the whole dash had to come out anyway. Also had the cabin air filter replaced since dash was out.

2 days later of rain and everything has remained dry.

Are you familiar with the phrase, Jumped the Shark?

But I have to hand it to you, that's a heck of a detail.

Ya know John, no I had never heard that expression and had to google it. Sorry you feel that way, most people dont get it or understand. Most just see a piece/part they they feel is over priced, but most JDM things pending brand are very short limited run items.

Easiest way I can put this, is you bought your exhaust for what 1600 give or take, when you go to sell it, you'll never get that amount. If I were to sell my JDM stuff, theres a great chance that I can sell it for more than what I paid at this very moment or at least get my money back and the older the item, the more rare it becomes. I view it as an investment.

It was intended to be a light-hearted comment. Everybody loved Fonzie.

Keeping it real, do you genuinely think the turtle is an investment?

Not sure I see the comparison, DFS. Cats, catback and labor costs pegged my exhaust mods over $2500... still a bargain compared to GT Haus products, although not nearly the same bragging rights. And while exhaust mods certainly look and sound awesome, that's secondary to the intent, which was power gains... which it certainly delivered. Will I "get it back"? No, not at all; I never expected to. Simple fact is that I don't do anything to the car with resale in mind. It doesn't matter on a car like this. It's not a collectible, appreciating asset. It's just a bread & butter Nissan, regardless of the rarity of the model configuration.

Relax man, you must know I'm impressed with your build. You're enjoying a great hobby.

I'm not offended or upset or any of the like. Didn't mean to come off that way as that was not my intent. Was just trying to make a point about most JDM pieces. I'm just like you, I'm in this for the long haul and plan on keeping my G til the wheels fall off. I don't buy things with resale in mind when it comes to car parts. I do have other hobbies that fill that aspect. To answer your questtion, yes I actually do look at it as an investment. You may or may not be surprised at what some of the older Tommy Kiara pieces have sold for in just the short couple of years that I've been getting into this. I've bought all of them with every intention on keeping them so I will hopefully never venture down that path.

Any who, I'm actually sitting here in Paris as we speak at a nice little cafe and just watched a DB9 drive by. So off for me to enjoy the rest of my night.

So few things, first I did get the extra wire harness in right before I left for Europe last month, I finished the install last week. Will get pics and maybe a vid or 2 up.

That being said, I let my daughter play with the controller for the demon eyes while outside. Shes 6 and she really enjoyed changing the colors, however while doing so the drivers side one has gone out. I triple checked all wiring and thought it was maybe the ballast, so I changed them around to test and passenger side lit up no problem. So I'll be calling Diode Dynamics today about a warranty replacement or hopefully they can help me trouble shoot as I sure as hell dont want to reopen the light.

Well I had new tires put on the rear last week by the dealership and I believe they cross threaded a lug nut and ended up breaking it off into the lug. Adviser said it was already cross threaded but I'm the last one who touched my wheels and I for sure did not. I say they did as my adviser text me this and I was not charged for it so.

I wasn't that mad as those lugs were starting to show signs of wear. So I ordered some new ones that I'm quite impressed with. They are the formula style lugs and remind of the Volk Racing ones, come with 2 sets of locks and the best thing about them is that you'll never have to worry about scratching your wheels or the outside of the lugs as the key fits inside the lug itself. I got them in gunmetal/purple colorway and very pleased with the visual.

You might be seeing pictures on your end, but all we see are the P500 image from Photobucket to "Please update your account to enable 3rd party hosting".

What tires did you go with?

Photobucket has really jacked us, and they want $400, not just once, but every year to keep 3rd party pics up & running, what a joke.
Bet those are nice pics too
