Yes Lou, they WORK so well, in fact the WORK S13P work better than most wheels out there :)
Great choice, couldn't do much better, what specs did you end up with? |

There's a lot of appeal to your car... wonderfully clean back end with ridiculously sexy aftermarket tails, low-profile roof wing after the black roof, subtle black trim under the side sills. Very nice stuff, OP. On the other hand, that silly splitter underneath an IPL front bumper, and all that carbon fiber crap in your interior... ew-w. Jumps the shark, buddy. |

I love the new wheels dont get me wrong. i have wanted a set of Meisters for a LONG time. happy i finally got a set. well worth the wait. |
Vizard, didn't mention how much I like that avatar, nice job^^^
Lou, any plans for caliper color? Also we need more pics, you teased us for quite a while and only one pic, c'mon man :) FWIW I rec'd some vinyl samples for the interior, there's a "dark tamo wood" from metrorestyling.com that has a nice look & texture and a couple from this shop Wood | EzAuto Wrap There's a black & dark brown oak texture that looks pretty good, just food for thought. |

I also have a white car, and for years I've been considering what color to mess with my calipers, when the day comes. For the longest time, I was solid on an Acura NSX color, called Rio Yellow Pearl (color code Y-65P). But looking at those calipers in that photo, painted a deep metallic amber... yummy. There's "pop" for you, Lou. |
yeah calipers are definitely on my radar. it will give enough color to the car to 'pop'
i am diggin this combo alot though https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7428/...94a67d60_b.jpg |
BTW, what's the weight on those new shoes?

Don't mean to re-open an old wound but I feel like it would be a shame not to acknowledge the work on your Si. Read to about pg.50 or so before clicking away. Loved what you did with it. I always liked the champagne / beige color on them too. I only had the opportunity to test drive one in college (I had to make pretend I could afford it and in the market.) and it was quite an experience.
Like what you've done with the G as well. Always cool seeing another MD'er on here. I'm located in the North near the PA line. Really like the new set-up over those blue shoes. Definitely gives the car a more aggressive appearance which I've always favored. Can't decide if the Halos are for me...Had a different style on my Mazda that I really liked but I can't decide if I like the varying - Oo oO - look; if that makes any sense. |

The halos were kind of an add on since my tail lights took so long to make. the guy offered me a deal i could refuse. all i really wanted were quad demon eyes and he got me halos with it. they act as a turn signal too. which is cool lol. i like that he had a smaller projector and a smaller halo to make the lights look Oo oO instead of OO OO with it partially blocked |
Yea, I know the feeling. Bambi ended my aspirations as well. Just finished my second Halo install and grille I made when I hit him. 6,000 in damage and I had a $1,000 deductible because I had a lead foot so modding quickly got scrapped. Car never drove the same after that either.
Can't blame you there - those tails are great looking! My opinion changes day to day on them. Other stuff to take care of anyways before I pull the trigger on them but I only plan on doing it once this time around. Digging that steering wheel too. I have the slate / rosewood interior though so the CF wouldn't fly but digging that wheel. I think a member on here makes them as well......Need to get my tax return:rolleyes: |
RMB5190, thanks for bringing up that Si thread, I skipped right by that in Lou's opening post. Damn Lou, you're like a God over there, 254 pages in that build thread EPIC! Looks like some serious time on that one, dedication doesn't seem to be something you lack.
Oh, and c'mon, more pics sir :) |

wheels look so small. wats the tire/wheel spec?
|
Think it's more of an optical illusion, the black barrel sort of blends w/ the tire to make them look smaller, but they're 19s.
|
They are 19s. 19x9.5 front 19x10.5 rear. 255/35 front. 295/30 rear
|
Needs more low then lol jk sort of
|
lol. i have thought about it. but roads here are the suck. i scrape every day going into my driveway. not trying to get bags either lol.
|
i think u will get tired of the way the wheels look at the current height and will naturally lower it lol. jus keep looking at the car from a distance lol. thats what happen to me i with my volk 19s. im much happier now

Why? Seriously... why? |
bc sometimes u have go a little lower than no gap to get wheels to look right esp wheels with lip. and esp his style wheels bc of the design the wheels looks one size smaller than they are.
|
as much as i would like to lower the car, even just a little bit, my roads will not allow it. so the height stays lol.
|
|
looks great!

Looking great Lou, those shots of the tails are awesome. Just need an "illest" sticker, no one is done modding until you add that :)
|
Those tails made by someone named Johnathan?
I showed the pic to a friend of mine, and he recognized them right off. |

Took home 2nd place G35/G37 on July 23rd at ImportExpo in DC. I was pretty happy with this win. A week later: https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...5b115a0094.jpg I took home 3rd place Infiniti at Tuner Evolution in Philly. This one was a COMPLETE shock. First and Second were both Liberty Walk G37s. There were a couple nice M's there, an LS swapped G35. Completely shocked and happy that i took home this honor. |
Louith, I haven't poked in here in a while. You've been busy! The car looks amazing man. Great work and congrats on your placements!
|
Nice!
Liberty Walk kits seem like kind of a cop-out. No real 'vision' required to buy a super expensive kit and throw on your car. Again, Congratulations! |
Show awards... that must be a rewarding feeling, OP. Congratulations.
|
Way to represent Lou! You're doing really well at these shows, all your hard work & vision is paying off, congrats!

There was two G37s with the exact same set up. Super original, right? In fact, I'm pretty sure I can Google LB's Liberty walk kit and get hundreds of hits. You know how many G37s pop when I Google 'G37 + Japanese + sunrise + paint job'... Answer: 0 If I'm entering a car show and purchase a kit that replaces every cosmetic feature of this car for me then I haven't really put too much consideration and vision into my build other than which credit card I'm going to use when I click 'checkout'...No disrespect meant for anyone that has it but to enter a car show with the kit kind of makes one roll their eyes. Like someone with 30k in plastic surgery entering a natural beauty contest. I have more admiration for someone who took a combination of factory options, customized them and then sprinkled in AM parts for a genuinely unique look (See examples above...). I think you're really making a stretch to connect a $6,000 body kit to the IPL factory trim options. Can't speak directly for, but I'm pretty sure people who go for the IPL look are trying to make their vehicle have a OEM unique appearance to their liking for $2-3k max? I doubt they're doing it thinking: buy IPL kit = Awards. |

Guess you missed the part where I said combo of factory options + AM for a unique appearance huh? Neither threw an IPL kit on their car and went to the shows expecting to walk away with victories due to IPL trim. That's exactly what LB participant's intentions are with a $6,000 body kit.... Dude who are you telling? You think you're struggling? Try owning a sedan. I have two choices of shifter. Stock or vibrator (no offense!) https://www.google.com/search?q=B2+d...4tsudHlEeUuMM: More options would be nice but at the same time too many options = cheap knock offs and RICED out Gs that make the whole community look bad. Wish there were some available hood options that served a function to allow for heat release and air movement throughout the bay. Japanese sunrise has been done on imports but not the G37 which makes his original. In a Infiniti car show competition that tends to be important. |
lmao i meant rising japanese sun

Apparently it's a thing, and a flag, not just a cultural symbol.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rising_Sun_Flag The only thing I knew for sure when I read your comment was that the Japanese flag was a simple red circle in a field of white. |
The wartime Rising Sun Flag is definitely a thing. I grew up in japan and have always loved that flag. main reason why i wanted to incorporate it into my build. I was born and raised there for about 14 or so years. my dad was in the Navy.
I didnt want to just put a red dot on my hood lol. that would be weird. |
