Two Years in the Making...

Hey everyone. I was reading people's build thread and it motivated me to throw in my build.

I have a 2008 G37S and I have not drove this car much at all. It has less than 41k miles on it. I did a lot training and deploying being in the military.

But my build started right after TX2K12. I've noticed with the GTM kit I had it's all low to mid end power, and it wasn't doing much for me. GTM is another story for another time, but after the event I tossed their junk, and decided to build something no one has ever done.

I'll list it out.

-Entire head works done. Custom Ferrea (valves, retainers, etc.), Jun exhaust cams, and that's it.
-CP Piston
-CP Rods
-Darton Sleeves
-Main Studs
-Head studs
-engine mounts
-3 inch X pipes. The picture I'm going to post is 3 inch straight pipes.
-Custom manifold
-x2 6262 turbos
-custom build intercooler
-custom build radiator
-Greddy Oil Pan upgrade. An SR20 upgraded oil pan fights exactly the same with our engine. Weird huh?

I think that should be it for the build?

Feel free to ask questions. I never really wrote out a build thread before. People simply ask what I'm doing.

All the shops that contributed and helped are:
Tay's Automotive, Darton Sleeves East, NISMO Engineering, Endyne, Ferrea, Cosworth, CP, JTran Motorsports, and few others I can't think of at the moment.

Wow, now that's some commitment, top notch everything on your ride.
What kind of numbers are you pushing, I'm sure you're pushing the edges w/ this one.
Nice choice w/ the SSRs too, what size tire/wheel specs and any exterior details (you know, stuff for us "common" folk, lol)
Post some pics of your Lambo too, seems like you've got way above average means to get this done and nice of you to bring us along
Thanks for your service too BTW.

Looks like a great build. Interested about what kind of power you're putting down? Where in TX are you located?

I'm not going to lie to you, I got those SSR wheels for free and my friend did the wheel and tire set up. I know the fronts are 19 with Invos on them. The rears are 17 with MT's on them. I'll ask him later on and get the full spec.

I'm located in Dallas.

What brand head studs did you use? Any fuel return lines? What size fuel pump and injectors? What type of engine management? Any oil cooler?

I'm have just spent the last few months down the FI path which is why I am asking.

ARP L19.
In the process of building a fuel system
1000cc injectors from Injector Dynamics.
Tuning is UpRev, but I'm looking at a Pro EFI to see if they can get something going. They are asking $3500 for the custom harness, just the harness....
I have a 34 row oil cooler straight from Setrab.

I think that covers it. What have you done so far?

Right now my motor is being built with:
Arias 10:1.1 20 over
Carillo Rods
Cosworth Head Studs
ARP Main Studs
HKS Head Gasket
Heads and Valves redone

I'm still unsure of the fuel return system because I have a VQ35HR and CJM has not gotten back to me about fuel rails. But the motor is going to be put together soon and I have to figure it out fairly quickly..

Going to go with Uprev at first but my tuner said I would want to switch to Haltech later on.

Sorry for the late response. I've been busy and I found out that one of my contractor doods was pretending to be a ****ing Navy SEAL.

Had to put that phony fraud **** face in his place. Anyway.
Do you own a G35 or a G37?

You don't need a standalone, trust me you REALLY don't. Unless your going for 1000 +. Your engine management can handle it. If you use it for pure race car experience, then go for it. Daily driven, not worth it.

But let me know how that goes for you.

Update on my car: Delay after delay. Again.

Resurfaced the manifolds and fitted one on. Now for the other side which will most likely finished by tomorrow.

I hate the fitment issues in this car.

What you guys think?
