I cut up the stock boot and used the upper piece as described per the instructions. I honestly don't know what it does/doesn't do but I just did it since it was in the instructions and was able to get proper clarification from Tein. lol

Yeah, strange. I used a floor jack to raise the bucket but I don't know why I had such a hard time aligning everything. I eventually got it in the end but it was a huge pain. Glad you didn't have any issues.

How far down from the top hat does the boot extend? Did you do that in the front too?

I don't remember off the top of my head but I believe it was about .4". The actual length is in the instruction manual and it basically extends just long enough to be flush with the bottom of the top hat. The upper ring fits right in there.

Yep, I did that for both the front and the rear.

Any pics of the drop? Any noises coming from the rears? I just got a set of BC's, may switch to these pending if I can get to my desired ride height.

The rears are quiet. It looks pretty slammed right now on the stock rims/tires with the tall sidewalls, but there is quite a bit of height adjustment. I bolted up one of the winter rim/tires in the front and it looked fine with 2 sizes less sidewall on the same diameter rim. I will post some pics once it starts snowing and I put on all the snow rims/tires.

Same here, and all I have are the rears. These Tein Basis CO's sure seem like a win.

I am thinking of buying them to have a quiet rear end. BC's squeak/clunk + 35 profile tires dosen't make for a very nice ride.

The Tein's are still quiet a week later and plenty of bumpy road testing. I am debating on 18's with 45/40 series tires or 19's with 40/35 series tires. I think I would be ok on either setup with this suspension as it is pretty smooth on just about every type of road

Boot looks great, a little over-exposed in the picture, but I suspect it's a perfect match for the perforated components on the black leather seats. Did you remove the shift pattern in the bezel, or is that just an effect of the flash?

I like the color and size of the ball ****, but it looks weird so low like that. Do you know who Commander Strax is?

Maybe a matching boot ring would help? Or if not matching to the ****, what about brushed SS or Ti, to match the trim?

You can blame my phone's wierd auto night mode for the pic. There was no flash so it tried to really brighten everything up to the point of erasing the shift pattern. I thought it was strange too.

Maybe the angle of the pic makes it look exceptionally low, but it looks fine in person. It is definitely lower than the tall stock set up.

Strax? Haha, maybe if it looked more like my thumb.

The leather has since settled a bit so now there is just enough gap between the boot and the shift **** to get my fingers completely around it. Works great!

Here is a better pic without the helmet head now that the leather has softened up a bit. Just a bit of the raw shift lever shaft sticking out, because racecar.

Had to have the Redline armrest cover modified/installed as it did not fit right. Looks good now.
