Update: Installed the K&N intake and the Cusco strut brace today. All I can say about the K&N is nothing but amazing. Installation took about 2 hours and really looks great under the hood. As for the sound, omg so sweet!! Nice & mean glow when you step on the gas.
As for the Cusco strut bar, made the steering a little stiff but i haven't driven on the high way yet to see how it has improved the handling. Don't think it will do much. Sway bars will have more impact will def install that in the summer. Attachment 140757 Next mod: 2010+ Sport front bumper and front chin spoiler will be installed next week. Just dropped off the bumper today to be painted at the body shop. Stay tuned guys! |
Keep up the good work! Good luck w/ your mileage, it's tough when you get a new intake to keep your foot off the gas since the sound is SOOO addictive.

Update: My OEM Brakes had been making some grinding noise for the past 2 weeks and I was debating if I should just install my akenobo bbk that's been sitting in my living room, actually wanted to install the bbk sometime next month but the debate was over. I decided to take it to the shop to be installed yesterday and also installed my 20" Rohanna RC22 Concave wheels so it can clear the akenobo but unfortunately it didn't. I mean, the rear is fine but the front is the problem.
So the mechanic told me I needed a spacer, I went to one of the local auto parts store and bought a 7.9mm spacer which was installed but still really didn't clear the akenobo. It's very risky driving it right now since there is less thread on the stud as I will need a thicker spacer and extended studs. This really got me worried as my car is my DD and it's very risky driving it around so I called Z1 Motorsports today same place where I ordered my Akenobo bbk kit and I spoke with someone (Ron)and he was really helpful. He told me I needed a 10mm spacer and extended studs all round to clear the bbk especially in the front. He also told me the extended studs are 10mm longer than studs so I should be fine. So I immediately placed the order and choose the fastest shipping I could so I will be receiving the spacer by Tuesday morning and will let yall know how it goes after it's being installed.
