Sounds like you have a good plan set up! Can't wait to see what you end up doing to her, man! Have fun with the modding process!

Looks like you have a good camera eye!
Looking forward to seeing this come together. If you plan on 20s I would definitely consider lowering it, the 20s w/ the height of the X will look a bit off. The fortune 500 coilovers look to be the best current option for you X guys.
Enjoy your build!

JPat94 Oct 16, 2014 09:12 PM

Agreed. I've heard great things about the Fortune 500 coils so far. Once I have the spare cash I'll be getting those for sure. :icon38:

C'mon, you know you want to! If you already have the manifold, I feel you have to upgrade the intakes. It only makes sense, I think the people here will agree with me.

You have some good choices for intakes. You can creep around the classifieds and pick up a lightly used one, buy new filters and save a few bucks.

R2C are nice for the ease of install, but they aren't long tube.

I had some time last sunday to install the motordyne...

So realizing i didnt have much tools to go on and so i went to autozone and oreillys about 5 times lol. Spent about what felt like forever to remove the old manifold.
Here she is butt naked :

Old manifold:

Since i had access to the TB i decide to clean both of them(no pics)

Here is the motordyne with the TB attached.

It was getting dark and my phone was dying so i dont have a pic of the m370 installed(will snap a pic later).

After i thought all good was said and done i started it up and it wouldnt start. I had a friend video record the start up:

So monday comes around and i spent hours looking through my370 and myg37 for answers on what could be the problem.

So after the rain passed and around midnight i said **** it, and i decided to reinstall it and for whatever reason my car worked again.

i feel this turned into a diary lol
/end diary

REVIEW:
I drove the car for about 20 miles(it was 3 am and i was getting tired). According to my butt dyno i feel my car got slower off the line. It does pull harder and produces a deeper tone. Not sure if its the ECU adjusting to more air. I'll most likely head to the canyons later this week to push the car a bit.

It should adjust- You can try to remove the negative battery cable for a while to let it reset. Then drive the car and beat the piss out of it so it can adjust properly.

That's good to hear. I have an m370 sitting on my floor patiently waiting for installation.

Have you gone with JDM tails yet? I love mine, don't know why but the Amber really sets it off nicely IMO. I have the USDM back in now and I'm not happy about it. Good build so far, looking forward to seeing where you land.

Im sitll debating with the jdm tail lights they really do look good. What made u change back to usdm?

RexHavoc Jan 27, 2015 11:01 PM

It's just temporary, I'm getting my JDM tails modded right now then I'll switch back.

I'm interested to see what direction you go with wheels and tires. Unfortunately our X's tend to have that 4x4 stance. Great start and long term plans though, planning is a lot of the fun.

I have my old R2C intake sitting in storage if you're interested. I have two sets of filters that'll come with it. If you're interested send me a pm.
