rack & pinion leak possibly?

Exclamation rack & pinion leak possibly?

hey guys wondering if you guys can take look at the pics looking under my car last weekend noticed the area by rack & pinion looked little moist/wet with what might be oil? i am not loosing any steering fluid in the reservoir stays exactly same measure . what can this be? is it normal car running normal.

its normal. its "sweating" and very common. wipe it down if you want but if you don't see puddles and you're not losing fluid at the reservoir its fine.

When I brought my car to the garage years ago, the mechanics kept telling me that my rack was leaking and so on but when some of the members said to look under and the car and if you do not see fluid or loss of fluid in the reservoir you are good and its been 3 years now. but I remember there was a bulletin regarding this issue and they did say it was normal I will try to find it for you .

Some of them have leaked at the high pressure line, DONT USE POWER STEERING FLUID OR LEAK STOPPER, it uses atf fluid

I get a tiny bit of seepage from mine but not enough to worry about as the level has never dropped enough to require adding any fluid.

If it leaks check around the high pressure lines

+1 for pressure line, mine went out and now it's being fixed... Went through an entire bottle of ATF in about 2 weeks...
