Anyone have issues with e-brake on Z1 2pc. rotors?
I have the Z1 2pc. front rotors and they seem to work well except for the fact that the black coating melted off the rounds (not the hat) after 1 track day. I am seriously considering getting the Z1 2pc. rear rotors, but FlashGuy was saying that his e-brake either does not work at all with the Z1 2pc. rear rotors or he has to adjust it so close that it scrapes when he drives. Is anyone else having this issue?
I really don't think I want to give up using my e-brake. The one time I need it I know that I will inadvertently leave the car out of gear and it will roll into something.

This is after getting new e-brake hardware, adjusting the star adjuster and the interior cable slack adjuster by the handle.
This rotor is now track only
I have nice Akebono rotors for daily duties.

To be clear, I have a 6MT and I use the e-brake for parking and sometimes hill starts. We don't have hills in Chicago, but we do have situations that necessitate using the e-brake at a greater frequency than non 6MT vehicles; parking complexes, on/off ramps, canted diagonal parking, and etc. Despite careful adjustments, there seems to be very little middle ground between the e-brake being able to hold the car but getting gouged over time or no gouging and not holding the car in place.
My hypothesis as to why the the gouging happens is because 6MT cars will tend to engage the e-brake when there is still heat in the hats from normal driving. The shoes adhere from the heat and are still gripping even after the handle has been release. When the car moves the shoes would drag then break free, and the gouging gets worse over time. Over the 1.5 I daily drove with the rear 2pc, I had to adjust the e-brakes 6 times due to gradual loosening of the e-brake gripping ability. I also highly doubt that improper installation would only result in 1mm of wear over those 6 adjustment periods.

Well, the only hills in Houston are man-made. I do have a bit of a slope on my driveway but have an automatic so the parking brake is a supplement to the parking pawl in the transmission. That said, it's obvious if I try to drive off with the parking brake engaged.
