Coilovers, is it normal?

I recently purchased a brand new set of Feal coilovers and upon inspection I noticed that there was slanting where the top hats were. On 2 of the 4 coilovers (one front one rear). I found this to be unusual and notified Feal and was told that the coilovers have an articulating bearing and that it should be fine. Has anyone ever had or seen this issue? I couldn’t upload photos on my phone for some reason so uploaded the photos on imgur.

Thanks,

Weird. Don't think my tein coilovers did that.

Does seem odd, if a front or rear "pair" were that way then maybe, but only one of each seems like an assembly problem.

If you press hard enough theyll move. No big deal.

Yeah i found it weird that only one from each pair were like that. I just wanted to see if anyone had a similar thing. Thank you all for the replies.

That's called a pillow-ball upper mount. There's nothing pillow-like, though. And yes, you can, with enough force, move the top mount around the ball.

Exactly. My Megan Racing coilovers on my 3000GT can do the exact same thing.
