Offset Help
So I ordered some wheels from a relatively new company 305 Forged. They’re FT101 model was what I wanted to go for but we ran into an issue once I received and then tried to run them on the street. For reference, I was coming from a setup of: 19 x 8.5 +38 w/15 mm spacer Front 19 x 9.5 +38 w/10 mm spacer Rear Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ 225/45/19 Front 245/40/19 Rear Per 305’s recommendation we went with 19 x 9.5 +25 Front and 19 x 10.5 +25 Rear to go along with moving my rear tires up front and then running a 275/35/19 in the rear. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...58239f169.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...3a21fb064.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.myg...e9e2d573e.jpeg So as you can see, there’s A LOT of poke going on there and that’s not at all what I was going for. After messing numbers on an online calculator I would apparently need to run +33 up front and +43 in the rear but could any of you offset experts help me out? |
Surprised they went that aggressive w/ their offset recommendations. Since it was them that did the suggesting are they going to get you a new set on their dime? If that's the case do you want the wheel edge right at the fender when looking down or just a bit outside?
For zero poke your +33/+43 sound pretty good. A +30/+40 would still tuck just fine and look just a bit more aggressive, but not much obviously. You would be able to run a 285 in back w/ the +40 to +43 down the road is you want a bit more tire and less stretch at the sidewall, and a 255 in front w/a +30 to +33. |
Of course! it would only be fair on their dime ;) I’m running Tein Street Basis Z coils so they’re pretty much non adjustable other than height. Keeping that in mind maybe a slight tuck would be safer in that regard to protect my fenders from certain death? |

Yep, I have an IPL so sport brakes included. Here is a picture of the wheel which is quite similar to the Verde Axis that I ran and put back on for now.

OK, that type spoke may be an issue w/ the higher offsets regarding brake clearance but ???. Since the company is new you may have to send them the clearance templates
