2013 g37 coupe new wheels won't clear akebono brakes
 

Hey guys i need some help. I recently bought a set of Weds Kranze LXZ 3 piece wheels from some guy local to me. Without knowing anything about offsets and having trust in my friend that was with me who said "they'll fit". After test fitting these wheels which are 19x8.5 +31 (front) and 19x10.5 +19 (rear) and seeing that they don't fit, my friends solution is to run spacers... he's thinking 30mm in the front and 15 mm in the rear to have a nice fitment while also clearing the brakes. Any help will be welcome because i don't really want to run a spacer that big.

The rears should be fine (might even be a little aggressive depending on tire size), but the fronts you can do a ~15-20mm spacer to make those conservatively flush. Don't know about brake clearance still, as that depends on the design of the spokes as well as the offset.

You'd need to know the disk type to see what wil work with the calipers.

Here's some templates you can use to determine the approximate spacing thickness that you will need, and like bPChaos mentioned, the rears are real aggressive, they will poke outside the fender edge but can tuck ok if you don't mind running a stretch tire setup like a 255/40/19, sure hope you're not going to need 30mm to clear the front calipers, that would make for a very tough setup to fit without some crazy camber.
Here's the templates, just tape them to some thin cardboard. BTW, nice wheels for sure. Hopefully you already have decent clearance for your rear wheels :)
