20's on sedan...what size tires?
I have a 2013 sedan I'm about to put 20'S . I don't want to go to low profile. I'd like to keep a smooth ride. I will also be lowering the car. The rims I'm looking at are niche veronas. What size tires will fit with no rubbing or other bs?

With 20 inch wheels you will have to go with a smaller sidewall (lower profile) to compensate for the bigger wheels. A typical staggered setup on 20 inch wheels is something like 245/35/20 in the front and 275/30/20 in the rear. Depending on the width and offset of the wheels that may change in order for the wheels to have proper clearance.
What specific sizes and offsets are you considering? And is your car RWD or AWD? |
It's rwd...i know I need a low profile, just trying to stay on the higher side
|
depends on what wheel spec you are using. if you are going with +35 rear +25 front
you can get 285 30 rear and 245 35 front. SO mainly you are looking at 35 front and 30 rear. I had 275-35 and 245-40 front but i can tell you that with such sidewalls your car wont look low :P |
What's the pros and cons of staggering the rims? I'm just putting rims on for looks not so much performance.

One thing to consider OP, 20s look a bit out of place on stock height, that fender gap gets exaggerated, it's more of an optical illusion than anything, but it's there. If you don't plan on lowering your G I'd run no larger than 19s.

19s for sure
just don't go with niche |
I'm planning on lowering it..whats wrong with niche?

We typically recommend a 245/35-20 all around. That will fit wheels 8.00-9.50" wide, and have same outside diameter as the oem 17 and 18" tires, so there's no more physical gap.
|
I ran 245/35/20 and 285/30/20. I liked it. No issues. However, I was definitely lowered :-)

Sorry to bring this thread from the dead but i have a similar question. I will be getting 20x10.5 all around with 30 offset and i cant decide between 255/35/20 or 265/35/20 tire. I would like it to be a bit more beefy but at the same time i dont want to rub if i get 265.

265 most likely won't fit within the fenders, 255 will depending on offset. |
offset is 30.
