ok, question(s).......I have a staggered set up of vossen cv3r's on the sport coupe right now. I tried the rear 10.5 +45 up front and it didnt clear. Now I want a squared set up. I would love to run 10.5's up front. So what im looking at is:

20x10.5 +22 or +40.

I wouldnt mind running the 275/30 combo too. I saw the other guy in the thread running the 20x10.5 +25 with the 275/30 combo. Maybe its his spoke design thats helping him out.

Any suggestions? Will it work? Should I go more conservative?

Might see if a spacer will help you clear the brakes and still be able to run them without fender problems before trying new wheels, something that gets you in the +30 range so a 15mm on your +45s will work, I'd give that a try first. And if they don't you could run those spacers in back to get the rears more flush.

Cool. I'll give that a shot. I'll buy some washers and measure out how many I would need to clear the front brakes. Might not need many. But I plan on selling the cv3r's anyway and doing 20x10.5 +35 all around. Do you recommend the 275/30 tire?

Yeah, on a 10.5 that's about the narrowest tire I'd run and should still look good and provide decent clearance at the fender.

Regarding spacers, the 15mm would be the narrowest you could run as a bolt-on, anything over 5mm to under 15mm would require longer wheel studs which will add a failr amount of labor, that's the main reason I suggested the 15mm, and should give you an offset that you can live with.

So 15mm all around or just the rear?

You were saying you wanted to get a square 10.5 setup so you'd need new 10.5s to replace the narrower front wheels. If you end up getting the same 10.5 +45s (assuming those 15mm give you the clearance AND the look you're after) for the fronts you'd want those spacers all around for a uniform look at the fenders.

Another thing to keep in mind, you'd probably need a fair amount of spacing to clear the front upper section of the steering knuckle, so a 15mm spacer should cover both bases, the knuckle and the calipers

oh no! I think we got mixed up a little. I'm selling the staggered set now. I'm going to buy a new set of 20x10.5 +35 all around.

Will this clear the front knuckle/sport brakes? Still good on tire size (275/30)? Or should I see if I can ull off the 255/35/20? I know I could still space the rear some to give the staggered look also.

What wheels are you going with this time around? It depends on the spoke design and backspacing regarding caliper clearance. You'll be ok at the steering knuckle w/ the +35 offset.

I'm gonna go with the aodhan ls007. Basically the same wheel as the avant garde m580. This wheel:

I feel like any wheel will clear at 10.5 +35, unless it has some serious deep dish action.

I'm going with the aodhan ls007. Basically a knockoff of the Avant garde m580.

It's never a bad idea to confirm BBK clearance w/ the vendor, if they don't know see if you can send them these templates (only need the bigger front one). Even though they should clear, those Akebonos are a very fat caliper vs. the bigger but flatter Brembo 6 pots.
